Ok agents, here is the thread that lets get back to our grade 7 english days and have a go at writing a book review for Becky. I was there when Susie a.k.a Britpopbaby posted in the IHJ forum that she was thinking of starting a blog about Jake. I was there on opening day, I was there for the first “sock watch”, for the live blogging and the presidential campaign. I was there when PG went to LA, sat in Jakes old school grounds and ate sprinkles cup cakes (it was a big deal!) I was there when Ramona was born and so was “babygate.” I was there when PG met Stephen and I was also there when PG tried and tried again to meet Jake. But what I learnt after reading I’m Stalking Jake! By Becky Heineke, was that I was never ever really there. Becky invites you to join her on her rollercoaster ride of life. For me it only lasted approx 10 hours, for Becky it went for years. There were ups and many downs, twists and turns. Joyful ;D, miserable , angry and bitter moments. Its jaw dropping and cringe worthy . At times it’s heartbreaking but mostly it’s amusing and comical. (Told you it was like a rollercoaster) When you think the rides about to end, it goes up again and only gets more intense The book isn’t even about Jake Gyllenhaal, it’s about a girl who dreams big, just wants to do the right thing, make people happy and maybe have a bit of fun along the way. It didn’t work out quiet as planned, and I’m still not sure how Becky survived it all. I’m Stalking Jake! By Becky Heineke is a behind the scenes look into the online world that’s honest and true, a must read that you will find very difficult to put down. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT review and an accurate description of I'm Stalking Jake, the book, by Becky Heineke. I'm still mulling over what I want to write. Thanks, Sam. :-)

Sam, may I second what coffeecat said! EXCELLENT! I need to think on what I want to post here as well. I did put up a review on Amazon a couple of weeks ago, but may want to put up a little different perspective here on the forum. In the words of The Terminator, "I'll be back!" ;D

I'M ABOUT ONE PAGE INTO IT. SORRY THE REVIEW IS TAKING SO LONG PG. MY LIFE HAS BEEN HECTIC.
Between taking care of my 4 year old brother while my parents are in Europe, dealing with bitch-ass school kicking my stupid butt full force, and working after school, I'm about ready to pass out. BUT I LOVE WHAT I HAVE READ SO FAR. WHEN I FINISH IT I PROMISE I'LL WRITE A MOST COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW.
Being 16 sucks, if only because all i have to look forward to is college.

HAHA, KD!! I look forward to your review, whenever it is that you write it... No rush! On life, on the book, on anything... ;D Unrelated, I noticed that someone went through on Amazon and marked every single review as "NO NOT HELPFUL." Thank you, asshole-I-don't-know...

On mine, it just says "Yes" or "No" underneath the review, next to a question about it being helpful. I went through and voted "yes" for all of them (it's true, I have no shame in stuffing my own ballot box!), but it might be a situation where you can't vote across country borders. I have no idea why this would be the case but...stranger things have happened!
If anyone else wants to vote (or write a review), please do!! And I say this because the publisher looks at those reviews in assessing my marketability and because potential buyers are infinitely more interested what you have to say about it rather than what I have to say about it (lest you think I'm asking simply because I want to read about myself...ha! ;D).

I've been waiting for the right words to show up to write a review for I'm Stalking Jake by Becky Heineke but obviously it's a No Show.
Becky's book is interesting on so many levels - it's about idyll college days when the world was your oyster (and if you went to college you will appreciate that reference) and everything was possible to the crash of mundane adulthood. As others have said, it's about working hard and (seemingly) getting now where and how glossy things can look on the surface.
JakeWatch went down many paths and on the glossy surface, there was much irony and hilarity. Underneath was the hard work, sweat, and tears that often go with any creative project. Becky is brutally honest with herself, the JakeWatch site, and us, her adoring public.
This is the part where we thank her, her parents, her brother, her friends, and her public for supporting her and to her enemies who made her stronger. Thanks to Prophecy Girl and britpopbaby for JakeWatch and for Becky, who told us what it's all about.

This may be a premature review (because I've only read about half of it up to this point) but so far I'm loving the book. Started this morning and have been reading it between grocery shopping and doing precalc homework while feeding my younger brother.
Right now I'm at Babygate and I'm just horrified by what Becky/PG had to go through. Although I was vaguely aware of the Babygate scandal back in Jake Watch days, I was far too young and not a good enough fan to be all that informed. I remember it vaguely scrolling through posts. I wish I had paid more attention back then.
Becky, I want to congratulate you on writing that email to Cantara. How she misled you and britpopbaby and all of Jake Watch is inexcusable and Stephen and Namoi's conduct towards you was simply rude - celebrity status or not.
