KD, it does get better! And crazier...and definitely weirder...and thank you saying that about the e-mail! Looking back, I feel like such a nerd for being so nervous waiting for a reply. I thought I was really making a statement there...but I'm really glad that I took the time to explain how I felt (even if it was a little late) and I stand by every word I wrote.

The Gyllenparents are rather well-known for being cold and had I KNOWN that, I maybe wouldn't have been so naively optimistic going into it. But lesson learned. I would say more but...I'll wait until you've finished it! ;D

i bought the book for my kindle the other day and i LOVED it. i wish i was around for some of the jake-watch stuff, but alas i am a mere noob to the whole fandom thing.

PG, just wanted to say that I'm about three quarters done with the book and so far it's been an incredible read. Your style of writing is so fluid, infused with equal parts drama, reflection, humor, and irony. I can't hardly keep myself from laughing out loud most of the time either from hysterics or sheer "this is just too damn SAD".

I can relate to your cringe worthy encounters with overzealous fans. I have never in my life been so devoted to anything in particular that I would take a trans Atlantic trip for he/she/them/it. Just saying.

DAMN, girl. You write one hell of a review!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I especially love what you said about it being a coming of age story that Jake just happened to be a part of. In fact, I might steal that line from you and use it when people ask me what the book is about.

I'm so glad you liked it!!! And HAHA! Indeed, ISJ has been so much less chaotic, less dramatic, and less stressful than JW ever was. It's also been less exciting, but I think I've probably had all the Jake-related excitement a person can take in one lifetime. In short, there will probably not be a sequel to this particular book. (Probably.)

OK, I'm off to go mark it as "YES HELPFUL" because who wouldn't want to read a book with a review like that?!

then again, do we really want another babygate scandal? so maybe no drama is better than too much drama.
