*raises hand*
Woo! Who's with me? That is, of course, if you have not already seen it.

*raises hand* Woo! Who's with me? That is, of course, if you have not already seen it. Oh hell yeah! Although I am not gonna be able to make it to the midnight showing tonight. But I am way more excited about this one than any of the other 6, I do believe. I wish I could make it tonight, but actually they sold out of all the midnight showings within a couple of hours of putting them up online. I am just going Sat. morning when it will be less packed like sardines like it will be tomorrow night.
Please let us know your review tomorrow if you can without spoilers. Although WTF, I have read the book, so there really aren't any spoilers to me anyway.

SO WHO'S SEEN IT?! I liked it, but didn't love it. But I'm a huge book snob and have never unapologetically loved any of the movies (although the sixth one has been my favorite so far), but considering all there was to fit into this one, I thought it was admirably done. But the pacing was off. Too rushed in parts, too slow in others... Thoughts? Also, there was a guy in my theater who looked so much like Draco, it was freaking me out. He bleached his hair and had it combed back and was wearing all black, and random people kept coming up to him and asking to have their picture taken with him. Oh, if I'd only had a camera!

I read a review that said there were slow parts and that people who had not read the books (does that include anybody!?) would be confused. There's too much information in Deathly Hallows to cram into one movie, but it turns into (as someone else said), "Harry Potter and the Extended Camping Trip."
I'm a book snob, too. The movies can hardly measure up to the books, (IMO) but there's also an endearing part of the movie series, watching them grow up and grow into their roles.

I get the slow thing, but i think it was needed... there was alot of information that had to be there! And really, it was slow for them too. Like harry says "you wernt expecting us to find a horcrux every other day"
I dont however agree with added unnexcessary stuff in. You guys know what i mean. Just a few things, but its not needed.
LOVED IT
10 out of 10, probably my favourite so far... but i want to see it again... because of the slow factor it may drop to number2 (behind 6) but i loved it so so much!

Just got back from the cinema. Wow. Comparing to the very first movie of the franchise when Harry Potter was only 11-years old, this one .. really ..
I have no words. Not yet. Hahahah.

^^^ HA! I was talking to a friend of mine who saw an early evening showing on Friday and she said she was there with "all the 8-year-olds." I'm not sure I would take an 8-year-old to that! It was pretty intense... I'll give the movies props for faithfully getting darker and darker, just like the books did. I want to see it again, at a time when I haven't been up for about 18 hours before it started. I feel like I'll have more to say once I've seen it again. All I know right now is that I'm going to be *so sad* in July when the last one comes out. After all the years of books and films, WHAT am I going to do without Harry Potter?!

I LIKED IT. Then again, I'm oddly uncritical of the HP series. I'm usually a bitch of a critic with all other films, but for HP7, I feel the movie series is LESS like an art form and more of an entertainment vehicle for fans of the book. So...I don't know, i just tend to watch 'em as they are and appreciate them for the fun. OH, and for gifs like this: Because, LOL, totally unnecessary nakedness. And way to stand there like a rock, Harry, letting Hermione do all the work. Get it, bb, get it.

I just wonder how awkward that must have been to shoot. It's like me having to be naked and make out with my best friend on film. I'd probably need several tequila shots and a trip to the bathroom!
