Here's the new Source Code poster made by Olly Moss for the SXSW film festival for next Friday. He's the same one who made the poster for Moon:
Also, here are links to a site that is showing a 3 minute "making of" featurette of Source Code, as well as a 13 minute video of on-set footage, it may have spoilers for those of you that are very anti spoiler. I have not watched either video yet. Here's the link to the making of 3 minute featurette: Making Of Source Code featurette
& the link to the "on-set" footage: Source Code - On-Set

OK, this is getting entirely out of hand now. ANOTHER artist inspired SC poster created by Daniel Norris is being shown at Man Made Movies blog here: Source Code: Poster By Daniel Norris
I have to admit this one & the one for the SXSW Film Fest are very artistic, but not the type of movie posters I love. I would love to see Jake's actual face at the very least included in an intriguing scene or artwork that goes with the premise of the movie. But that's just me, I love realism more than artistic impressionism. I wasn't real taken with the UK poster that was revealed yesterday either, although it at least was full of color & had Jake's face on it looking like he was bursting out of some kind of computer pixels or something. & the first one looking like an office supply had exploded behind him running towards the camera brandishing a gun was kinda lame. He was too small in the center of the poster in my opinion & all the pictures floating around him in the air would not have gotten my interest up, if I had no clue what this movie was about at all. I would be the most interested in finding out about it with the UK quad poster released yesterday. Still not real impressed with that one, but it was somewhat interesting at least.
Then there were these that were recently posted that I did not put up here just due to them not being impressive enough, but thought today I guess I could go ahead & throw them up here just to show how many posters have been done for this movie.

Hmmmm...not that I'm not enjoying all this fun artwork but...I'm not sure it bodes well for the marketing campaign that they have so many (completely different) posters going on at once... That said, I really like the orange one. Though, much like the SXSW one, it's hard to get a feel for the movie from it. They're more like 1960s book covers than movie posters, so that's a personal preference for me on style more than any confidence that they have strong marketing pull. And absolutely nothing against Jake (although it's going to sound like it), but he's not exactly known for his box office magnetism, so I can understand these posters that don't feature his face. I'm just not sure that any of them are really getting across a good graphical representation of the story to make the average person want to learn more about the film. Then again, he's had flops with much tighter promotional campaigns than this one, so maybe the scattered nature of it means it'll be a hit. One can hope...

These posters are ridiculously amazing, but I totally agree with Becky on this one, they aren't going to draw in a lot of people besides those who know the story already and/or appreciate retro/vintage 60's cover posters like these.

& with the premiere of Source Code tomorrow night in Austin at the SXSW Film Festival, (which is so close to me, it is killing me that I can't go!), the promo train for the movie appears to have left the station finally. They are really kicking it into high gear with their promos for this one. But, of course, we are dealing with the brilliant Duncan Jones who is not afraid to go all out & Summit, who has had a ton of experience since the Twilight saga has made them uber wealthy. Although I have yet to see any scheduling for Jake, Michelle, or Vera on any talk shows yet, those will probably start some time around the week of March 21st. I will be posting those here when I see the schedules announced online. At this time, they have started a game you can do on your smartphone. I have already downloaded the free app to my iPhone that is a "tag" reader so hopefully I can catch some of the codes when I'm out & about. There is also an opportunity to win a trip to the SXSW Film Festival for 2012. Here's the link to the site: The Source Code Mission
& more info about it here on Mashable: Jake Gyllenhaal Movie Uses Mobile Tagging in Marketing Campaign
& of course the official movie site here: Enter the Source Code
& their official Facebook page here: Source Code official Facebook page
There is also a new online featurette posted today on the Apple trailer site here: Source Code trailers & videos
Here is an interview with Duncan Jones on Wired.com: Source Code Director Duncan Jones Talks Life After Moon
& last but not least, Duncan & his girlfriend, Rodene will be blogging about their press tour for SC on tumblr here: Source Code film blog
I found another UK poster online today that is a little better than the quad poster revealed the other day:

& here we are on the morning of the premiere of Source Code that's happening only about 150 miles from me this evening, but it might as well be a million miles away, since there is no way I can go.
However, Man Made Movies blog has posted ANOTHER poster today. I actually think this is the best, but it was made for India or some other Asian country evidently. The guy that posted it at MMM isn't sure what country it's for. But my question is, why can't we have a better one here in the states, dammit?

& TA-DA, the Spanish poster. Not sure if this one is for Mexico, Argentina, or Spain or all of the above. However, it's very similar to the US official poster which I didn't care for. Although at least Gylls is MUCH bigger in their poster, unlike the teeny image of him on ours. Not cool. ::)It says Cada Segundo Cuenta behind Jake which means "Every Second Counts" & then the Spanish translation of Source Code which is "Codigo Fuente". I love the Spanish language, it's so pretty to me.
They also have a Russian poster which is just a horizontal version of the US poster, (only in Russian, of course!)
Link to the posters: International Source Code one-sheets
& here's a new video posted yesterday on youtube that was part of the featurettes already out there, but it's easier to watch on YT.
The movie will be shown at 7 pm tonight. Can't wait for April 1st!

Jake's looking good and good in these recent pictures!
Oh God, all of these international posters are just as bad, if not worse, than the US version.

& finally this morning we have videos from last night up at YT:
They are fixing to start the SC Q&A panel at 11 am Central at SXSW. I will try to post videos here as I see them online before 12 noon central as I have to leave for the day after that. But I'll be back later this evening, (hopefully with my Men's Journal in hand for scans as well) & will post whatever is up then.
Jake has said some wonderful things about Austin, (I love that city myself), & there are all kinds of written interviews popping up all over the place now. Plus there have been a lot of favorable reviews from last night already. I was so glad to see that, as I have also seen someone say it's like "12 Monkeys Meets Groundhog Day". That did not sound promising when I read that. But then, that's one person's opinion. I actually saw both of those movies & loved both, but one is a weird sci fi thriller & the other a silly comedy. Hopefully that guy's opinion is way off. We shall see...
