I loved that little video of Billie Joe & figured you would too. & her accounting of seeing him perform was pretty cool. But like you, why couldn't it be ME, dammit??? It appears NYC is the place to be right now. One of these days, I will get there, but with my luck, NOBODY I care to see will be there at the same time as me...

INDEED, JRM and I go way back...we once had our arms around each other in a mall. It was a fantastic time. I love this entire thread. I once did a Sexy Man List blog entry on MySpace and this totally reminds me of it. If I had to do my list over today, I'd probably make a few changes (add JGL and Leo, possibly switch out William for Harry), and while it's a cop out and I should redo my list right here right now, I'm instead just giving you my link. blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=9859295&blogId=449977003Woo for Prince Eric, PG! He is indeed a hunk. And he totally doesn't translate to real life. I have never met or seen anyone who I would cast in my live action movie. (I do that, by the way. ) I need to add a few to my list. My musical crush is, and has been for like ever, Matt Watts. He's the guitarist from a band called The Starting Line. He has the bluest eyes I have EVER seen in my ENTIRE life. They quite literally rendered me speechless. My friend had to shove me, so I didn't just stand there drolling. Steven Strait. I kinda "forgot" about him because I don't like crushing on married guys, but he reignited my interest after I watched City Island the other day. Speaking of married men, I can't believe I forgot my crush who grosses my sister out. Jason Schwartzman! (she doesn't see it or get it, but I am not deterred) Other than them, that is pretty much it. Most of the actors now are too pretty for my taste. Like Ian Somerhalder. He is nice to look at, but he is prettier than I am. Not cool. I like geeky or hunky, not pretty.

On to other men, I forgot how much you said before you love Green Day, so here is a cool little video just put up on YT from when Billie Joe was in NY the same weekend as Dude. I LOVE what this girl, Kerrie, said about seeing him in her blog: "And then there was Sunday night. I may have said previously that seeing Billie Joe in American Idiot once was totally enough. But I knew I was lying. You knew I was lying. Not even 24 hours after that entry was posted, I bought a ticket for his final performance. And I have never been so grateful for a rash decision in my life. His last show was completely electric - I won't go into too much detail, there really isn't much more that I can say that I haven't already said here, but he'd even gotten better since I saw him that night. You could tell he wanted his last show to be special. He'd added some things since he started - some really interesting moments in the background of scenes, when he wasn't the focus. (Not to mention singing a snippet of "It's Fuck Time", which he didn't do when I was there before). He sent this incredible energy across the theatre. It really was one of those experiences that I look back on and can barely believe that I was there. At curtain call, before singing "Good Riddance", he performed a short song he composed for that occasion. I was sobbing. And I mean, face in my hands sobbing. It felt totally personal, you could tell how much he loved this experience and loved sharing it with us, and for the love of god - I WAS THERE. I left my blood like bullets over Broadway. The fire of the footlights at the St. James. With broken legs and roses over New York. These goodnight songs of long lost love and war. But I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive like suicide. So goodnight, goodnight, New York. It's been a few days, and I honestly still can't stop thinking about the show, his performance, the experience. I still get choked up watching the video. I've seen a lot of amazing things in the 5 years that I've lived here, but this may actually be at the top of the list. For a lot of reasons. Phenomenal. Only in New York." Source: thegoodkerrie.blogspot.com/2010/10/love-happened-here.htmlBTW, she also wrote about seeing Dude on Sat. night there too.
OH MY FUCKING GOD VANESSA, YOU OWN MY HEART. I god damn ADORE Billie Joe Armstrong and Green Day. To this day, no matter how many amazing songs I listen to, Boulevard of Broken Dreams is my ANTHEM. Green Day concerts are so mind blowing and eclectic, I can't even! Something about their attitude towards their fans really makes me love them. Billie Joe once said that GD puts all their efforts into live performances because the fans spent their hard earned money to see them, so they're going to give them the show of their lives. I really appreciate that attitude, especially with all the divas out there.

& I must add that I adore almost every man on this thread! Dayummm, there are just so many gorgeous hotties out there today, my SML has grown by about a mile. I just saw the new pics of Christian Bale in the Dec. US Esquire. He looks SO good again. He had to make himself look like shit for The Fighter (kinda like he did for The Machinist, only not quite THAT thin). & he has grown his beautiful hair out, I think you know by now, I have a major affinity for long hair on men. Plus he doesn't look near as rough as he did for the movie. See for yourself:
