Vanessa...I don't know if you know this but Jared & crew are coming to Houston in January!!! They're actually playing a few shows in Texas...two shows in Dallas Jan. 23 & 24, Austin the 25th and Houston the 26th. So you could see them like 4 times if you really wanted to! I just wanted to tell you if you didn't already know. Here's the link: thirtysecondstomars.thisisthehive.net/blog/tour/I'm thinking I'll go to the Denver show if I can scrape together $40 between now and then. Hey Katie, I was hoping to get tickets the second they went on sale, & was sitting here at 10 am when they did & immediately there were no decent tickets. I was pissed to say the least. I still don't get how that happens. Anyway, I may end up paying extra to the creepy ticket scalpers that do the online resales to get seats where I want them. I just do not want to stand on the floor. I know it is fun & electric & all, but it isn't my style anymore plus I get claustrophobic. So, wish me luck that I do manage to go, they will be here on Jan 26th, almost 2 weeks after my birthday, which would be a great birthday present to myself, if I can go.

OMFG, I just watched it, damn, I love my Bartholomew Cubbins! That dude is one talented director, actor, singer, EVERYTHING. I totally loved watching Tomo knock the shit out of that other guy too. Yummm, I love my Tomo. & then showing him playing strings in quadruplicate. Shannon too. I really liked the way they cut him in playing the drums in triplicate in between the story now & then, very cool. I love the way he makes their videos so artistic & dynamic.
Here it is on youtube already:

I still don't get how that happens. Anyway, I may end up paying extra to the creepy ticket scalpers that do the online resales to get seats where I want them. So, wish me luck that I do manage to go, they will be here on Jan 26th, almost 2 weeks after my birthday, which would be a great birthday present to myself, if I can go. I hope you get to go, too!! The floor does get absolutely positively out of control. I actually moved to the back of the venue so I could actually see and dance. When they came out, Jared had everyone take three giant steps forward, thereby making everyone in the audience feel like sardines. He did that twice, so it just got unbearable. And I can usually handle crowds and stuff pretty well, especially for something I was highly anticipating for months. I kind of regret moving to the back because mid-way through the show Jared stood on top of the sound booth which is in the middle of the floor and sang a few songs from there, so had I stayed where I was, I probably could've touched him or something. But if you can go regardless of where you sit, I hope you do. I know you've been wanting to see them for a long time. About the Hurricane video -- I am kind of over Jared's massive ego, just from my experience from their show. I think its pretty apparent from that video and I just DO NOT appreciate that trait in anyone. God sakes, Jake couldn't even pull it off -- even though he tried!! The video crosses a lot of cultural and moral boundaries , some of which I am not comfortable with. I do think Jared is an amazing visionary and I admire how he is able to translate such things to the screen and music the way he does. Especially now that I'm starting to understand how complex production is and how much really has to be thought out and how expensive it is!! Haha. Anyway, Jared's kind of like that really cocky totally smokin' hot guy in your class that you can't hardly stand but totally has your attention, no matter what. God bless Tomo and Shannon for putting up with him!! I don't know if I could!
