Oh my lawd, these interviews are so damn perfect. Far superior than the interviews for PoP. TOTAL AGONY.
And I love that one interviewer who thought/wish/hopelessly believe Anne and Jake are a couple despite knowing they aren't. IT'S OKAY, HOMBRE, ME TOO.

Wow, I love Anne even more than ever now after reading this little article about an actress from Denver that was in the movie with them: Parkinson's comedy has Denver actress riding high
"I'm having a wonderful ride on the one-trick pony that I'm on," says actor Lucy Roucis. She attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, "Love and Other Drugs," on Nov. 4. It's a romantic comedy starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway opening in Denver on Nov. 24. Roucis has performed for 20 years with Denver's handicapped theater company PHAMALy. It was odd to see herself on the big screen, she admitted, "and you can't get a bigger screen than the Grauman's Chinese Theatre." In the film, Gyllenhaal's character falls for Hathaway's character, recently diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's disease. Roucis, who got that same diagnosis in 1985, said it was like watching bits of her own life play out on celluloid. "I remember being told by a doctor that I had Parkinson's, and the first thing I said was, 'Who's going to love me?' Roucis said. "That was a big question then — and it still is." In the movie, Hathaway attends an unconventional support group where Roucis and others deliver jokes about the disease, which brings Hathaway's character some much-needed levity. Hathaway consulted with Roucis during filming, and the two had a good, long chat at the L.A. screening. "She's really nice," said Roucis. "She said one her favorite moments in the film was my scene because it showed such grace. That meant the world to me." Early reviews have been mixed, but not Roucis': "I think the movie rocks," she said. "I loved it. I loved it. I loved it." The screening was one day before the death of cast member Jill Clayburgh, best known for iconic film roles like "An Unmarried Woman." "But she's a theater icon as far as I am concerned," Roucis said, recalling Clayburgh as Catherine in Broadway's "Pippin" back in 1972. Clayburgh was married to playwright David Rabe ("Hurlyburly").

Here's another interview video from the press junkets:
& an article from MTV about Ed Zwick saying Anne is "Oscar-bound".'Love And Other Drugs' Director Thinks Anne Hathaway Is Oscar-Bound Thanks To 'Badass' Performance It's not too much of a stretch to say that Anne Hathaway is a very strong contender for this year's Best Actress Oscar, and her "Love and Other Drugs" director Ed Zwick (pictured with Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne and Hank Azaria) knows it. "Wasn't she badass? Wasn't she good? She'd be in [the race] because of her performance," Ed assured me when we sat down to chat about the upcoming release.
Though audiences won't see the film until November 24, I can vouch that Anne's performance is pretty impressive. Ed agreed that her turn as tough-yet-vulnerable Maggie is akin to her previous Oscar-nominated performance in "Rachel Getting Married," adding that Anne has really hit her stride as an actress.
"She's taking these risks, and every time she takes a risk, it pays off even bigger. She's very brave. And I think you saw parts of her instrument that you've never seen before," he said. "You saw great humor, you saw a real earthiness, you saw a kind of tough thing. There are a lot of colors that I don't think she'd ever shown before."
The same goes for Anne's costar Jake, who seemed to come "fully into his manhood and adulthood" in this film, which is something we haven't necessarily seen in his other work. In order to bring out these great performances from two serious actors in what is ultimately a romantic comedy, they spent a lot of time together, learning how to trust one another. Of course, Anne and Jake worked for a few days together on "Brokeback Mountain," but Ed sent them to dinners and movies to get to know each other even better.
"They're both very serious about their craft, and it's funny when someone is very serious about their craft and what you're talking about is comedy, so you have to temper the deeper colors with lightness," Ed explained. "But they're also both very funny people and lovely, joyful people, and I think that was part of it for all of us. We had to get to know each other very well, we had to trust each other a great deal."

Woot! One day left I just wanted to say that Anne did a great job on SNL...did lots of convincing parodies, I was very impressed!!! I missed most of her Chelsea Lately interview but the parts I saw were good. There's a new trailer showing on tv lately...as if my anticipation wasn't high enough already! Anyway I will be going to the first showing here at 1 so expect to see me gushing back here tomorrow afternoon. But don't worry I won't spoil anything for anyone and I'll try not to rub it in...

I am going to see the movie some time tomorrow, it depends on how long I have to work. It may be around 3 pm, but I will be there & be back here to give my non spoiler review too.
I thought Anne did great on SNL too. I kept hoping Jake might do a cameo since they are promoting the movie & he didn't. That would have been really funny if he had.
I watched her interview on Chelsea's special last night, & it was good. Chelsea Handler is such a scream, so I would love to see her interview Jake, but this was a woman's special & I watched Gwyneth's interview too. Damn, those 2 women, (GP & AH), really wear some knock out shoes. I am a shoe freak, & just love the shoes Anne has been wearing to the premieres too.
I am going to post some press junket interviews & other stuff on the interview video thread in a minute here. Damn, there have just been so many to watch, I can't even keep up with all of them.

Here, let me copy and paste the article: Movie Review: Love and Other Drugs Nearly OD's on Rom-Com Clichés
Today 5:55 PM PST by Matt Stevens Love and Other Drugs 20th Century Fox C+
Review in a Hurry: Ridiculously beautiful commitment-phobes (Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway) suffer serious side effects from a love interaction. At first sight, Love appears to be this year's Up in the Air, but then it strictly follows the rom-com prescription and comes dangerously close to OD'ing on sap.
The Bigger Picture: Disclaimer: Love contains nudity and intense carnal activity, so check with your doctor to see if your heart is healthy enough for sex scenes. Actually, the title should have been Sex & Other Drugs—not because of all the steamy action, but because love has a way of screwing things up, this film included.
Gyllenhaal stars as Jamie, a skirt-chasing charmer who trains to be a Pfizer drug rep in the late '90s. Partnering with veteran salesman Bruce (Oliver Platt), he struggles to meet quotas by schmoozing hospital staffs.
While shadowing a prominent physician (Hank Azaria), Jamie meets patient Maggie (Hathaway), a free-spirited artist with early onset Parkinson's disease. Quicker than you can say chemistry, these two hotties are playing doctor—on the floor, in bed, against the wall, etc.
Though they're averse to intimacy and relationships, little by little—and montage by montage—their hookups evolve into something more. Simultaneously, Jamie's career explodes with the release of Viagra, and sales of the little blue pill give him a big out-of-town job opportunity.
To their credit Gyllenhaal and Hathaway, having previously paired in Brokeback Mountain, generate plenty of onscreen sizzle, but also have a comfortable, credible rapport. Both excel at subtly revealing the vulnerabilities beneath their slick facades.
Josh Gad earns chuckles as Jamie's chubby misfit brother, but he's a stock rom-com character in the Jack Black vein. And you can set your watch to that most overused cliché, the last-reel car chase. Where's the pill to combat predictability?
Love does provide a funny, fascinating peek into the cutthroat pharmaceutical world and the Viagra phenom, but unfortunately, that satirical edge wears off once the pic takes a traditional Hollywood path, with Hathaway as the Julia Roberts-esque girl with a disease who tames the cad.
The 180—a Second Opinion: The wonderful Jill Clayburgh, who passed away this month, makes one of her last film appearances as Jamie's mother. Check out her underrated gem Starting Over.

Dammit, that really irritates me when they give a potentially good movie a C.
Without having seen it yet, I know good & well it's at the very least a B+. I will be seeing it sometime on Wed. afternoon though, so I will be back here to give my non spoiler review & grade.

I'm seeing it tomorrow afternoon as well, along with Tangled. While I obviously adore Jake, I will try to watch LaOD without bias and review/grade it honestly. I try to do that as much as possible with all films I watch, although it can be difficult! LOL. I love writing movie reviews. I do it for nearly every movie I've ever watched since I was 13/14.
